Our mantra is to spread global happiness, so rest assured - we’ll do everything we possibly can to ensure you’re a happy customer. About this item: Thanyarat Sananpanich conjures an intricate brocade with rows of regal blue stars. Combining the khit and jok (supplementary weft) techniques, her design comes to life as an exquisite silk table runner. Phrae wa weaving is a tradition in Kalasin Province, where the combination of patterns results in heirloom textiles. It takes its name from a type of traditional bodice worn by the Phu Thai women. It is said a Phu Thai woman will weave only one such bodice in her entire lifetime. - Dry clean only About our Artist: Thanyarat Sananpanich is proud of her Thai heritage: 'I love my traditional Thai culture, so I joined a dance group when I was at school. I met a group of silk weavers during a trip. The beautiful patterns and the people's kind manners left a big impression in me. So much so, that I decided to buy all 30 pieces of silk. I have learnt to weave wall hangings as well as replicate the hill tribe's embroidered work. I love developing traditional patterns to embroider on Thai fabrics.'
